Arrived in the AI Age: Weidner & Friends, Rebuilt

Weidner & Friends – Berlin, entering the AI age

This site is new. But it is more than a redesign: it is a statement of intent. Weidner & Friends builds AI agents and agentic systems for the Mittelstand, the public sector and ambitious brands. And we have decided to work exactly that way ourselves.

Why now

For years, 'AI in the enterprise' came with an asterisk: impressive demos, sobering reality. That has changed. Agentic systems can now reliably take on entire workflows, not just single answers. They research, contextualise, prepare decisions and document them transparently. The leap is real, and it is why we rebuilt Weidner & Friends.

Autonomous in execution, humans decide

Our principle is simple and deliberately inconvenient for the hype: agents do the work, humans hold the responsibility. No system of ours makes a decision a human could not approve. Approvals, four-eyes checks and audit trails are not a brake, they are what makes autonomy defensible when it matters. If you take that seriously, you build governance in from the start, not bolt it on later.

The question is not whether AI takes over work, but who keeps the responsibility. With us: the human. Always.

Applied to our own house first

What we recommend, we apply to ourselves first. This website, its content and a growing share of our internal workflows are produced agentically, reviewed and owned by people. Founder Dennis Weidner has spent recent years at exactly this intersection: AI, performance marketing and digital transformation, in high-reach editorial as well as in building companies. That knowledge now sits in the foundation of Weidner & Friends, not in a footnote.
